FOX in the United States has teamed up with Ford to honor everyday heroes in a new social media campaign called “Go Further.”
One of the featured organizations is the Independence Fund. It’s improving the lives of injured veterans.
Retired Army National Guard Sergeant Buddy Mays was injured on September 1, 2005 by an IED. He was fortunate to survive the blast while two fellow soldiers died. Mays was left unable to walk.
He applied to and was approved for a Zoom from The Independence Fund and FOX met him in Atlanta, Georgia when he was out for a spin with his two daughters.
