veteran receives zoom

Villagers for Veterans and the Sarasota-based Englewood Lodge raised money to give a medically retired Sarasota resident a Zoom, a 4WD electric scooter.

Sammy Lugo, an Army Veteran, was the lucky one.

He is now able to do more activities, like going to the beach.

Villagers for Veterans is in central Florida and is home to more than 20,000 retired veterans. The organization has donated $300,000 to disabled veterans.

Their mission statement is: “To ensure that severely wounded veterans receive assistance in healing, a return to normalcy and an independent lifestyle.”
